The Prestige: Steps In The Right Direction

Starting the Ninth Pasture was a goal of ours for almost a year before it actually happened. Approaching the two year mark on this project we are looking to take this to the next level and it seems as though our timing was even better than we anticipated.

Event: The United Art Show

Join the crew of United Nation Clothing as they host their first ever art show on Saturday, April 27th at 6th & Trade Clothing Boutique (545 Trade St. Winston Salem, NC 27101). Five artist will be on display including two street/graphic artists, two photographers, and one fine artist. Cool in the Cold Pt. 2

Its always interesting to see how style shifts during the winter months. Some people completely lose their essence during this time especially being in the south. However, Miss Tasha here does not have that problem. Most of the appeal for me in this look is centered around her coat and how it is cut. The fit is great as it is slightly tapered at the waist and accented with a belt! Also, the Jordan 7 "Raptors"were a nice step outside of the box given the weather.

Cool in the Cold Pt.1

This dapper young gent goes by the name of Trey. He has been featured on the Pasture before and we felt this look was definitely worth another one. The lace swap in his boots is really eye catching and was a great accent to his tie. Also, you can never go wrong with leather gloves and your peacoat when the temperature drops.

IXTH Pasture x Wake TV

Earlier this month we were given the opportunity to work with a good friend of ours in the mass communications department at Wake Forest University. Our good friend @CorvayaJ is the co-host of a fashion segment on Wake-TV called "Wake Up Your Style". We were called in to give a little insight as to what men should wear to stay warm in the colder months of the year and remain stylish. The photo above is from our initial meet up to learn more about the structure of the show and refine the topic we would discuss. More photos of this particular journey on the other side.

Militant Chic Feat. MC Lyte

About two weeks ago it was homecoming at our beloved university. It is always an interesting time to be on campus because something special often occurs everyday. We had the pleasure of spending sometime with hip hop legend MC Lyte during her visit where she gave a lecture, spoken word performance, and book signing to our student body. She is extremely humble and the overall experience was amazing. During our interaction I inquired about her studded blouse as I thought it was a unique take on the camouflage trend sweeping the world of fashion right now. Often camo pieces do not lend themselves to being feminine but this blouse was well cut and the studs added just enough flare. Also, her heels were leather with two buckles around the ankle which in my eyes was reminiscent of boots so it played into the scheme of the fit well but kept a nice feminine touch to her outfit. The overall outfit was tough and agressive but was definitely still put together in a way that was fashionable and feminine. Check out more photos of the event after the jump.

Back 2 the Future

This bundle of joy is named Jashanta! She is an up and coming model from North Carolina and its great to be able to feature her at this point in here career. We wish he much success in her future endeavors. Now, I love the dress shes wearing in this shot. It is either a vintage piece or inspired by a vintage piece and we can see this in the cut of the shoulders. I also loved the way she paired it with a contemporary shoe. I always love to how people add personal flair to older pieces. Well done love, well done....
